Newcastle right-back Mathieu Debuchy has admitted he doesn’t know if his future lies with the Premier League club, according to ESPN.
Cabaye made the switch to the French capital in the January transfer window and Debuchy, also said to be a target for Bayern Munich, admitted losing Cabaye had hurt Newcastle a great deal.
“I am here [at Newcastle] until the end of the season and for next year, I do not know,” Debuchy told French radio.
“[Cabaye] is a great loss for us so obviously I was sad but I can be happy for him because PSG is a great club. I have had the opportunity to talk a little with Yohan and it is clear he is really happy there.”
Debuchy has made 40 appearances for Newcastle since his 2013 move and has yet to score. He spent a decade with Lille after coming through the youth system, making more than 200 appearances and winning Ligue 1 in 2011. The 28-year-old also has 18 caps for France, and two goals.
