Inter are in talks with Manchester United defender Patrice Evra’s representatives over a possible deal to bring the Frenchman to the San Siro this summer, according to the
Walter Mazzarri’s team are already heavy favourites to sign Evra’s Man Utd teammate, Nemanja Vidic, when he leaves Old Trafford at the end of the season, and reports in Italy suggest that they could make a bid for Evra, who has been a Man Utd player since January 2006.
The left-back is said to have met with Inter director of sport Piero Ausilio on Wednesday to discuss the possibility of a move to Milan, and whether any deal would be a realistic prospect.
Evra’s future with the Premier League champions has been under some doubt since David Moyes took over as manager in July 2013, as the former Everton boss has pursued the Toffees’ Leighton Baines, and is reportedly interested in acquiring Southampton youngster Luke Shaw.
As well as Inter, several other European clubs are thought to have set their sights on Evra, whose current contract expires this summer. Big spending French duo Paris St. Germain and Monaco – Evra’s former club – are also thought to be among the frontrunners.
