Tottenham will be looking to extend their excellent recent away record in the Premier League as they travel to Norwich City, who need the points for very different reasons.
When this game kicks off, Norwich could be in the bottom three, and should that be the case it would only serve to increase the mounting pressure on manager Chris Hughton, who saw his side lose an important game at West Ham United last time out. Just like their 2-1 defeat at Cardiff City at the beginning of February, the Canaries biggest problem was clear – they are not ruthless enough in front of goal.
That must change if they are to beat a Spurs side that lost in Ukraine to Dnipro on Thursday, having made several changes. In their most recent Premier League game, Tim Sherwood’s men were on top form as they put Newcastle United to the sword at St. James’ Park, with the rejuvenated Emmanuel Adebayor grabbing two more goals. Victory will see Tottenham keep the pressure on Liverpool in the race for the Champions League.
Defender Ryan Bennett and Michael Turner are out for Norwich along with wingers Elliott Bennett and Jonas Gutierrez, while Jonathan Howson will be assessed.
The away side are set to restore Hugo Lloris, Aaron Lennon, Kyle Walker and Adebayor to the squad after they were all rested for the Dnipro clash.
