Premier League title chasers Arsenal face Everton on Saturday in the opening tie of FA Cup quarter-final weekend.
Much of the pressure is on the hosts, who produced a determined effort to sneak past Liverpool in the last round. The FA Cup is the trophy that Arsenal have the best chance of winning, particularly after a disappointing league defeat to Stoke City last time out, so manager Arsene Wenger must be quick to ensure that his players are focused, with the second leg of their Champions League tie with Bayern Munich coming up on Tuesday.
Everton were given a great deal of respect for their performance at the Emirates Stadium in December, gaining a late point thanks to Gerard Deulofeu. They enter this one looking for a first trophy in 19 years, but with renewed confidence after ending a recent slump with a narrow victory over West Ham United. And with the match-winner that day, Romelu Lukaku, set to return to the starting XI, they may fancy their chances.
Arsenal are now without Jack Wilshere in what is another major injury setback. The England international will miss six weeks and thus joins Abou Diaby, Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey on the treatment table.
Visiting boss Roberto Martinez could hand a recall to winger Kevin Mirallas, but Darron Gibson, Lacina Traore, Arouna Kone and Bryan Oviedo are all absent.
