Everton will be looking to move above Tottenham into fifth place in the Premier League with victory over Swansea City at Goodison Park.
The hosts created several opportunities against Cardiff City in their last game and looked like they were going to be frustrated, only for Seamus Coleman’s mis-hit shot to clinch a dramatic victory is the dying seconds. Roberto Martinez’ team are not playing at the level they were in the first half of the season, but they are still getting results, although hopes of a top four finish do seem all but over.
Swansea have already lost against Everton twice this season in league and cup, so will definitely be hoping that it will be third time lucky in what has become a vital game for the Welsh club. They are still too close to the bottom three for comfort and a sloppy second half performance and defeat to West Bromwich Albion has only served to intensify their relegation fears.
The Toffees are hopeful that Phil Jagielka is able to return from injury to play a part here, but Darron Gibson, Arouna Kone, Bryan Oviedo and Steven Pienaar are all missing.
Miguel Michu could make his first start for Swansea since returning from injury, and Nathan Dyer should also be fit enough to play. However, Jonjo Shelvey is doubtful with a hamstring problem.
