West Bromwich Albion are hoping to build on their win over Swansea City last time out by winning away again, this time at Hull City.
This is Hull’s third successive home match in the Premier League, and one which they must make the most of if they are to avoid being dragged into deep trouble. They missed a golden opportunity in their last game, failing to create enough opportunities to find a way past 10-man Manchester City, who ending up winning a game in which key player Tom Huddlestone went completely unnoticed.
Once again, West Brom found themselves behind at half time, but this time they managed to turn it around to win, a result which has lifted much of the pressure that had been building on Pepe Mel. Now the Spaniard has attained his first win in charge, his focus will now be on leading the Baggies to safety, and there is still work to be done, with only three points separating them from the drop zone.
George Boyd misses out for Hull after being found guilty of spitting at Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart. Robbie Brady, Joe Dudgeon and Paul McShane are all set to miss the rest of the season.
The away side have a big gap to fill in central defence as Jonas Olsson begins a two-match ban for receiving 10 yellow cards. Chris Brunt, Billy Jones and Diego Lugano are also out.
