Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has insisted that he is the ‘happiest’ he has felt during his time with the Blues, as they challenge for the Premier League title, Sky
The Serbia international has been at Stamford Bridge since the summer of 2008, winning several trophies including the Premier League in 2010, the Champions League in 2012, and last season’s Europa League, where he scored the winning goal in the final against Benfica.
Under Jose Mourinho, Chelsea currently lie four points clear at the top of the Premier League, and they are favourites to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League. As a result, Ivanovic claims that he has never felt better during his time at the club, declaring that he would like to stay despite reported interest from Paris St. Germain.
He said: “I can say this is the happiest I have been at Chelsea because, at the moment, the team is doing well and things are going right for us. We have improved as a team since the beginning of the season, it looks like we are a very strong team but we have the potential to make and build an amazing team.”
