PSG are said to be monitoring the situation as Ivanovic approaches the final two years of his contract. The 30-year-old is said to want to speak with Chelsea about a new deal and early talks have begun, with Jose Mourinho keen to keep Ivanovic at Stamford Bridge.
But the French champions are in the market for a defender with Champions League experience, to provide competition for former Milan stopper Thiago Silva and Alex, once of Chelsea.
Ivanovic’s is one of a number of contracts on the agenda for the Chelsea hierarchy, with the existing deals of John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole all coming due this summer.
The Mail claims Terry and Lampard will have their contracts renewed but Cole will told he can leave the club, with Southampton’s Luke Shaw lined-up as his replacement.
Ivanovic moved to Chelsea in January 2008, signing from Lokomotiv Moscow. He has gone on to make more than 250 appearances for the club, scoring 25 goals and winning the Premier League, the Champions League and three FA Cups.
