On-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has said that he is determined to help his current side Napoli finish the season on a high, according to Sky
The Serie A side are currently in contention for a Champions League spot next season and could still win the Coppa Italia and Europa League.
Whilst Juventus have built a large lead at the top of the Italian table, Napoli have a chance of catching second placed Roma and achieve automatic entry to next year’s Champions League competition.
“We are close to Roma (three points behind, having played a game more) and we are doing well, even if Juventus are really strong and they deserve congratulations,” aid Reina.
“We believe we can get second place and we will fight until the end for this because it’s a club target for this season.
“Coppa Italia or Europa League? We are fighting to win both of them. I want to win. I would like to win in Europe, because these are always special nights.”
It is unclear whether the Spanish shot stopper will make the return to Anfield once his spell in Italy finishes and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers admitted he did not expect Reina back at the club.
The 31-year-old, however, still has his sights set on winning a league trophy as he has never previously accomplished the feat whilst in England.
“I would love to win the Champions League but especially I’d like to win a league because, despite being at important clubs, I’ve never one won one,” added the Napoli goalkeeper.
