Liverpool loan star Oussama Assaidi may have played his last game at Stoke City and has left the decision on his future open, according to Sky
The 25-year-old is currently on a season long loan from the current Premier League leaders but has been out for the past month with a knee ligament injury he suffered during warm-weather training in February.
The Morocco international is eager to return to playing action although he has refused to rush back in order to avoid any possible injury setbacks.
“Charlie Adam went to shoot and I went to block the ball. My knee twisted, and when I went to stand up I felt the pain,” said Assaidi.
“It is going better now, but the latest scan showed it is not fully healed and will take some time.
“I have to be careful because I don’t want a bigger injury. I want to play, but I will have to see in the future. I am not ready.”
The Potters are yet to state whether or not they wish to bring the young Moroccan back to the Brittania Stadium next season but it remains an option for a player who has struggled to fit into the Liverpool first team.
Despite his injuries, Assaidi is keen to return to playing football and admitted his is happy at Stoke whilst still keeping his options open.
“I don’t know yet what my situation is, but I like Stoke and am very happy to play here,” he added.
