Saido Berahino could take legal action against West Bromwich Albion teammate James Morrison after he was struck by the midfielder in a dressing room argument, BBC
The incident is alleged to have occurred in the aftermath of West Brom’s 3-3 draw with Cardiff City on Saturday. The Baggies scored late to take a 3-2 lead but conceded an even later equaliser when Berahino lost possession in the Cardiff third. Cardiff scored to level and remain three points behind the Albion, in the final place in the relegation zone.
West Brom are a place above Cardiff and have a game in hand on the Welsh side, although 19th-place Sunderland have two games in hand on the Bluebirds and one on the Midlands club.
The BBC claims Berahino was left with facial injuries from the incident with Morrison while West Brom have insisted reports of the altercation have been blown out of proportion. No disciplinary action is understood to have been taken against anyone involved.
Berahino feels, however, that he has not been supported by West Brom and could take the matter to court.
The 20-year-old has scored eight goals in 28 games for West Brom this season but has featured only sporadically under Pepe Mel, who replaced Steve Clarke as Head Coach earlier in the campaign.
