Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac has claimed Manchester United are interested in signing him, but says he won’t rush into a decision on his future, Sky
Left-back Kolasinac has told a newspaper in Bosnia, the country he represents at international level, that United have registered their interest with his club. “It is true me and my club both got an official offer from Manchester United,” Kolasinac is quoted as saying by Dnevni Avaz.
“But at this moment I wouldn’t like to talk much about this,” he continued. “My manager knows all about this offer from England and together we will think and then make a decision. I will take my time, I will not hurry. I have to think seriously about an offer like that and of course the Schalke board have to think about it.”
The 20-year-old has been touted as a replacement for Patrice Evra, whose contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season. Kolasinac has spent his entire senior career at VeltinsArena, having played at Stuttgart, Hoffenheim and Karlsruher at youth level.
Kolasinac was born in Karlsruhe and played for Germany at Under-18, 19 and 20 level before switching allegiance to Bosnia-Herzegovina, making his debut in a friendly defeat to Argentina on November 2013.
