Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, a target of Premier League champions Manchester United, is now the subject of interest from Real Madrid, according to Talksport.
Kroos is said to be keen on a move on Man Utd – who Bayern face on Wednesday in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final – despite it appearing likely that David Moyes’ side will miss out on Europe’s premier competition for next season.
This means that the interest from Real Madrid, who are offering Kroos the chance to join this summer or when his contract runs out at the end of next season, could represent a blow to Man Utd’s chances of landing the 24-year-old Germany international.
Real Madrid’s arch rivals, Barcelona are also said to be monitoring Kroos’ situation and could try to bring him to the Nou Camp, although that would depend on whether they can successfully appeal against their 14-month transfer ban that was recently imposed by FIFA.
