Tim Sherwood will be given the chance to return to his former role as Tottenham Hotspur’s youth development technical co-ordinator at the end of the season, according to ESPN.

It’s claimed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will ask Sherwood to return to the youth sector at the end of the season, where he had worked since 2009. Sherwood had overseen the development of the likes of Steven Caulker, who was sold to Cardiff City for £11m, and Jake Livermore, who is currently on loan at Hull and is expected to leave Tottenham permanently this summer. A fee of £8m has been mooted.
Sherwood is said to have been told on Monday that he won’t continue as Head Coach once the season is over. Levy and Franco Baldini, Spurs’ director of football, are understood to have informed the Premier League title winner of the decision. Sherwood was captain of Blackburn Rovers when they won the league under Kenny Dalglish in 1995.
