Suarez, who has scored 30 league goals this season, has admitted that no-one expected the club to be challenging for the title with big spending rivals such as Man City and Chelsea.
And Suarez believes not having the finances of their competitors would make a title win on Merseyside more of a great achievement.
He said: “[Winning the title] would be something that no one would believe,” he said. “Because we have good players but if you look at the complete roster, we don’t have [the players] to be up there. The truth is that we are surprised ourselves at how well we’re playing.
“We have good players who are demonstrating why they are in Liverpool and it would be something amazing even to England because of the investment made by Chelsea, [Manchester] City and Arsenal. Even Tottenham have spent over €120m and we, with so little investment, are in that position. It would be incredible.”
The Uruguayan was recently nominated for the PFA Player of the Year alongside Yaya Toure, Steven Gerrard, Eden Hazard and Adam Lallana, with the winner to be announced on Monday evening.
Alongside his 30 league goals, the forward has also registered 12 assists for teammates which, which seen the club score 96 goals this season, seven short of the record set by Chelsea with Liverpool still with three games to play.
