Arsenal can ensure another season of Champions League football if they beat West Bromwich Albion on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.
Although they still lack the pace of Theo Walcott, Arsenal have looked much more like their old selves since they scraped into the FA Cup final on April 12. Admittedly, Newcastle United did not provide much of a threat, but the Gunners played like a side with renewed confidence, and Mesut Ozil now looks to be showing something close to his best form once again, which bodes well for next season.
The win West Brom achieved against West Ham United last time out could be the one which proves decisive in their bid to stay in the top-flight, as Pepe Mel finally got his long awaited first home win in charge after several near misses. Although this is a tough game, the fact they have now reached 36 points now means that the Baggies will be confident of survival, but they are still unconvincing.
Bacary Sagna could miss out for Arsenal as he is suffering from a knee problem, while Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain among others remain sidelined.
West Brom will be without Liam Ridgewell and could be without Steven Reid, so they may be forced to field Chris Brunt at left-back, but Gareth McAuley should be fit to return from injury.
