Cole yet to decide on future as Liverpool eye move

Former Chelsea left back Ashley Cole has been weighing up his options after being told he could leave Stamford Bridge and is said to be torn at whether or not to stay in England, reports the Telegraph.

After Chelsea paid off the last month of his contract Cole has been eyed up all over the world, from the likes of Monaco in France to LA Galaxy in America.

However there is said to be a potential deal on offer to join former Chelsea coach Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool and the player has told friends he is keen on the idea.

Rodgers is willing to offer a two year deal to try and mount another title challenge next season.

Real Madrid are also said to be lining up a move for the decorated full back if Carlo Ancelotti remains at the club next season.

However Cole confirmed via Twitter that he would be playing his football away from Stamford Bridge almost for certain next season.

The 33-year-old tweeted: “I am weighing up my options for playing next season with my agent and sadly it does not look like Chelsea will be one of them.

“Thank you Chelsea FC for making my eights years there a pleasure to work all the staff and players, we’ve been through a lot.”
