Hull City captain Curtis Davies believes that Aston Villa will be in danger of relegation if they fail to get anything from their clash on Saturday, according to Sky
The former Aston Villa defender knows that a point from the match will see his side safely to the end of the Premier League season, whereas taking all three could leave Villa in trouble.
Villa have managed just one point in their last six games and will be desperately looking to change their fortunes after seemingly having escaped the relegation battle earlier in the season.
“You have to say their game against us is humongous,” said Davies.
“They wouldn’t like to come out of it having to face Tottenham and City to get a point to stay up.
“But if I was a Villa player at the moment, I would probably prefer to be playing away.
“I know what it is like at Villa Park when there is an expectancy.”
Davies has been in excellent form for the Tigers this season and has been influential in Hull’s Premier League and FA Cup run.
The Skipper even went as far as to say that he believes he is in the best form of his career and is enjoying life at the KC Stadium.
“I am playing the best football I have ever played,” Davies added.
“I am sure, if, if I was still playing this football at Villa, then they would be happy with my performances.”
