Diego Costa puts off transfer talk

Atletico Madrid striker has dented the hopes of several clubs chasing his signature as he admits he will not rush into a decision about is future, ESPN reports.

The in-demand forward has said that several clubs have already made offers to try and procure his services from the La Liga leaders.

Despite Spanish reports saying that a £50 million deal between Chelsea and the striker is already in place, the 25-year-old has insisted he is happy where he is.

“I feel good at Atletico, I am happy in Madrid,” said Costa.

“We will see what happens, there are offers but it is too early yet to talk. Now I am just thinking about the end of the season, I want to win the Champions League and La Liga.”

The Brazilian-born Spaniard has had a fantastic season, scoring 36 goals in all competitions so far this term, with the last of those coming from the penalty spot to help eliminate Chelsea from the Champions League.

Costa will now be looking forward to a Champions League victory over fellow finalists Real Madrid as well as topping the Spanish giants in La Liga as the season reaches its climax.

Despite being subbed off late in the game with an apparent injury, the forward has said that he is not concerned by the clash that saw him leave the field.

“What I got was just a bang, nothing important,” he said. “We deserve to be in the final. The team was calm after Torres’ [opening] goal, we were tremendous for the whole game.”
