Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has again taken another swipe at manager Jose Mourinho after branding him a ‘puppet’ in what looks set to be a parting shot at the manager, Sky
It looks likely that Eto’o will leave Stamford Bridge this summer with his one year contract set to expire, and seems to be signalling his intent to leave after a series of remarks about the Chelsea boss.
Mourinho had angered the striker earlier in the season after he questioned his official age, and after claiming his current manager was a ‘fool’ recently, he has now described the Portuguese man as a ‘puppet’.
“Contrary to what a puppet says about my age, I am still physically fit. At 33, I feel real good. I have proven that I could do better than youths.”
Mourinho has been widely critical of his striking options this season as he bemoaned his side’s lack of goals – Eto’o only scored 12 goals this term in 34 appearances in all competitons.
However this was enough to warrant himself a place on Cameroon’s plane to Brazil this summer and highlighted the fact he was still just 33-years-old.
Eto’o added: “My romance with this competition is far from over. I will not tell you where, but I will be at the top level. I am 33 and I have two World Cups to play.
“Before me there are other players who went on until the age of 41. So I can continue.”
