Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has said that he is happy with his performance this season but is keen to add more to his game, Liverpoolfc.com
Sterling has been in fine form this season, contributing nine goals and five assists as he attempts to help the Reds to their first title in 24 years.
Despite his great performances and also picking up the Young Player of the Year award at the side’s player awards evening, he has said he is hungry to learn more.
“It means a lot to me,” said the 19-year-old. “I’ve tried to work as best as possible this year and I’m really glad the fans have seen that and voted for me.
“I give credit to the other lads, they’ve been great this season as well, but this is a real massive achievement for me.
“This year has been a real learning curve for me; not being in the squad at the start of the season and having to wait for my chance.
“I’ve just taken things as they’ve come and I’ve learnt a lot.
“I want to keep progressing and keep learning day in, day out and add more things to my game.”
Liverpool are currently a point ahead at the top of the table but their 3-3 draw at Crystal Palace has caused the title to slip towards Manchester City.
The Citizens have a game in hand over the Reds and now have the title firmly in their hands as we approach the final games of the season.
