Former Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis will be in London as Thursday, with three Premier League clubs interested in signing the 28-year-old, according to the Daily
Gomis has left Lyon after failing to agree a new contract with this season’s Europa League quarter-finalists, so he is now free to talk to other clubs. For his time at the Stade de Gerland, his record reads a total of 94 goals in 243 appearances since joining in the summer of 2009.
Newcastle United were reportedly interested in signing the French international last summer, but missed out. This time around, Sunderland, Swansea City and West Ham United are all keen on a bid for Gomis, who has spent his whole career in Ligue 1. Turkish club Galatasaray also hold an interest.
Swansea are looking for a possible replacement for top scorer Wilfried Bony, should he leave this summer. Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be among the clubs eyeing the Dutchman.
After signing a new contract at Sunderland, manager Gustavo Poyet is looking to overhaul his squad, while West Ham are aiming to build on the signing of Mauro Zarate, which they announced on Wednesday.
