Queens Park Rangers are hoping to sign Tottenham duo Michael Dawson and Andros Townsend this summer upon their return to the Premier League, according to the Daily
The pair, who are both England internationals, could be in line to leave White Hart Lane this summer with new manager Mauricio Pochettino set to initiate a clear-out once he assumes control at the club.
Having returned to the Premier League with a play-off final victory over Derby County on Saturday, QPR are hopeful of bringing in two players who they have had previous links with. Both could also be keen on the prospect of reuniting with former boss Harry Redknapp.
Dawson has now been at Tottenham for nine years, helping them to League Cup success in 2008 and the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2011. In the summer of 2012 he was on the brink of joining QPR for £9m, but failed to agree personal terms. Two years on, the R’s now believe that £4m could be enough to land the 30-year-old.
Townsend finished the 2012-13 season on loan at QPR, and impressed despite being unable to prevent the club from suffering relegation to the Championship. Redknapp is targeting another loan deal this time around.
