Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has admitted his future at the club is unclear, TeamTalk
Sandro suffered a thigh injury in December and has been on the fringes of Sherwood’s side since returning, with the Head Coach suggesting Sandro didn’t deserve a place in the starting XI.
Sherwood is expected to leave White Hart Lane this summer and Sandro, who missed out on a place in Felipe Scolari’s World Cup squad, has predicted Sherwood’s exit will work out for him. “(Sherwood) will leave at the end of the season. Then, new coach, new everything,” he told ESPN Brazil.
It had been rumoured that Sandro could return to Brazil with Sao Paulo, and he welcomed the prospect but admitted it was unlikely – even though his Spurs future is in doubt. “I do not know anything yet but I’m happy to have my name talked about with a club the size of Sao Paulo,” he said.
“(But) it would be very difficult to leave on loan. If I leave, I would have to be sold, and it is not close. Other teams have come, but with little money.”
Sandro has been at Tottenham since a 2010 move from Internacional. The 25-year-old has made more than 100 appearances for the club, scoring three times.
