Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has set his sights on bringing strikers Mario Balotelli and Loic Remy to the Emirates Stadium this summer, according to the Independent
Balotelli is said to prefer a move to Arsenal rather than Liverpool, who are also rumoured to be interested. He is free to leave Milan this summer, with their manager Clarence Seedorf initiating a summer clearout after a desperately poor season. He joined Milan from Manchester City in January 2013, and has gone on to score 30 goals in 54 outings.
The Gunners are looking for at least one new striker this summer to share the burden with Olivier Giroud, who often served as the club’s only central striker last season. Wenger has installed Balotelli as his top target, although any deal is unlikely to completed until after the World Cup.
The same goes for Remy, who has been heavily linked with Arsenal for several months. Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has already confirmed that Remy would be leaving the club, with the Frenchman aiming for a move to a Champions League side. He spent last season on loan at Newcastle United, where he was their top scorer.
