Stoke City have completed the double signing of Mame Biram Diouf and Dionatan Teixeira, reports talkSPORT.
Potters’ manager Mark Hughes has been one of the busier bosses since the end of the season, and has confirmed his third and fourth signings of the summer.
Striker Diouf has played in England previously with Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers, and according to chief executive Tony Scholes has been on Stoke’s radar for some time. Scholes confirmed: “Mark Hughes has wanted to sign Mame since he took over as manager last year. We tried to get him last summer and made another attempt in January, so we’re naturally delighted to have finally secured his services.”
Diouf has played in Germany with Hannover 96 since January 2012, and has an impressive strike rate, scoring 26 goals in 57 Bundesliga appearances. He also has 18 caps for his country Senegal, and will arrive at the Brittania Stadium in July on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract.
21-year-old defender Teixeira meanwhile arrives from Slovakia where he has been playing since 2009, most recently for FK Dukla Bansk
