Former Manchester United manager David Moyes could replace ex-Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini at Galatasaray, the
Moyes left United in April having only replaced Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford in summer 2013. Moyes left Everton to take over at United after 11 years at Goodison Park but was sacked with United in seventh place in the Premier League.
Gala parted company with Mancini at the end of the season and Moyes is understood to be in Turkey for talks over the vacancy. A contract worth £4m has been mooted, although Moyes is said to be undecided over the opportunity.
A Gala spokesman confirmed Moyes was on the shortlist for the post but added that German pair Joachim Low and Jurgen Klinsmann were the first choices. Low is currently the Coach of the Germany national team while Klinsmann, his predecessor, is in place with the United States.
Moyes took over at Everton in March 2002, replacing Walter Smith, having cut his managerial teeth at Preston North End. He guided Everton regular top five finishes, including a place in the Champions League with a fourth-place finish in 2004-05.
