Belgian star Eden Hazard has said that he has no intention of leaving Chelsea, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain, reports The
Rumours have surfaced that the French champions have been considering making a substantial offer for the Belgian attacking midfielder, despite a recent punishment for breaching UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
The Parisians already boast a wealth of attacking riches in the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi, and Edinson Cavani, but it seems that Hazard will not join their ranks after telling Belgian media: “I am staying at Chelsea, 100 per cent sure.”
Hazard scored 17 times in all competitions last season, including the vital away goal against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes that enabled Chelsea to progress to the Champions League semi-finals.
At only 23 years of age, he still has the time and potential to improve, so it is no surprise that Chelsea do not wish to let him go, particularly to a major European rival. Hazard confirmed that he is in the early stages of discussions regarding a new, extended contract at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard, who is currently in Brazil with the Belgian World Cup squad, confirmed that there has been no direct, personal contract from Paris.
