Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has admitted that he may have to leave Chelsea to get some first team football, Sky
Lukaku has spent the last two seasons out on loan, scoring 15 Premier League goals for Everton last season and 17 the previous year for West Bromwich Albion and the striker looks to be fed up of being overlooked by Jose Mourinho. “You know Chelsea: every year they buy a new top striker. I remember me coming into the dressing room last year and seeing Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba and going: ‘Whoah! What’s happening here?'”
The 21 year old striker, signed for £20m from Anderlecht in 2011, will lead the line for Belgium at the World Cup in Brazil and he hopes that he can impress his suitors with some good performances. “I have to play a good World Cup. That’s very interesting for all the players looking for a transfer, and I must be one of them. Chelsea know my point of view.”
Mourinho often criticised his strikers last season and it looked likely that Lukaku would come back into the fray but the imminent arrival of £32m Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid may be the final straw for the Belgian. Italian champions Juventus have reportedly contacted Chelsea about the possibility of a loan move that would be made permanent next summer with a host of other clubs, including Tottenham, also rumoured to be interested.
