Napoli are to offer cash as well as striker Goran Pandev for Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen, who they hope to sign after the World Cup, according to Talksport.
Reports
It is so far unclear whether new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will allow Vertonghen to leave, but sources close to Rafael Benitez’ side claim that they will offer the out-of-favour Pandev in part exchange for the Belgian, whose future is highly uncertain, but will be resolved after the World Cup.
Overall in his time at Tottenham, Vertonghen has scored eight goals in 82 appearances. Meanwhile, Pandev has been at Napoli since joining from Serie A rivals Inter in the summer of 2012. Since then he has managed a total of 22 goals in 124 appearances, many of which have come as a substitute.
