Tottenham Hotspur are not planning on usurping Liverpool in their move for Spain and Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, Sky
Liverpool are understood to have approach the Spanish side over Moreno and it was suggested that Spurs had made a £14m offer to snatch him away from Anfield, with Roberto Soldado moving to Sevilla on loan.
But Sky claim that Tottenham wouldn’t let Soldado go out on loan and at a meeting between new Coach Mauricio Pochettino, technical director Franco Baldini and chairman Daniel Levy to discuss transfers, Moreno’s name wasn’t brought up.
It’s also said that Adam Lallana, the England midfielder at Pochettino’s former club Southampton and another target for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, isn’t a target for Tottenham either.
Sevilla have confirmed Liverpool’s interest in Moreno, who has been capped three times by the World Cup holders. But the club’s president, Jose Castro, insisted an offer has yet to be made by the Premier League runners-up.
Moreno has spent his entire career at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, breaking into the first team in 2012 and making more than 60 appearances to date. He won his first senior cap for Spain in 2013, having featured a handful of times for the country’s Under-21s.
