Newcastle United right-back Mathieu Debuchy is expected to undergo a medical at Arsenal in the coming days after the two clubs agreed a fee for the 28-year-old, according to the Metro.

Debuchy has been at Newcastle since January 2013, when he was signed from Lille. He has gone on to score once in 46 appearances; that goal being against arch rivals Sunderland. He is now on his way back from the World Cup to finalise his move to North London.
Reports in France suggest that Newcastle accepted a bid of £7.9m from their fellow Premier League side, in a deal which could rise to £12m due to additional payments. Newcastle are now set to begin looking for a replacement of their own, with Manchester City outcast Micah Richards and Dutch international Darryl Janmaat among the early names linked.
