Manchester City are to offer new contracts to Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Joe Hart and James Milner as they return from their extended break following the World Cup, the Daily
The club are keen to secure the long-term futures of as many of their star names as possible, and have turned their attentions to this quartet after agreeing new deals with Aleksandar Kolarov and Samir Nasri earlier in the summer.
Aguero, who was a substitute as his Argentina side lost the World Cup final to Germany, is expected to sign a new contract with City before the start of the new season. That would see him extend a stay that has lasted since the summer of 2011. He has since gone on to win two Premier League titles and the Capital One Cup.
Fellow striker Dzeko has been at the Etihad Stadium since January 2011 and has found himself in and out of the starting XI ever since. Milner has struggled to hold down a regular place since Manuel Pellegrini took over as manager and only has one year left on his current deal, while Hart is also expected to stay as first-choice goalkeeper.
