Manchester United have stepped up their interest in signing Chilean star Arturo Vidal by formally discussing the possibility of a huge money move with Juventus, the Daily
United had made contact with the star’s agent earlier this week and sounded out the potential of a move for the £50m rated player.
Juventus will not want to see one of their prized possessions leave the club but if an offer comes in that simply cannot be refused they could well let the midfielder go.
New manager Louis Van Gaal has already seen Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera arrive at the club while he finishes his Holland duties at this summer’s World Cup, for a combined £60m, but is thought to have been granted a £200m war chest to dramatically overhaul an aging squad.
Since moving to Juventus in 2011 the Chile international has grown into one of the world’s best in his position and also starred at the World Cup despite not being fully fit.
And it is clear that United saw enough of the powerful midfielder to push for a deal.
