Milan have registered an interest in Manchester United winger Luis Nani, but are unhappy with the Premier League club’s £11m asking price, according to the Daily
The Italians feel that the current valuation is excessive, given that the 27-year-old has only appeared sporadically for Man Utd over the past couple of seasons, failing to make an impression on the first team.
He has spent seven seasons at Old Trafford, and despite a good start, he has found opportunities limited recently, often finding himself behind Antonio Valencia, Adnan Januzaj, Ashley Young and Shinji Kagawa in the pecking order.
However, Milan remain admirers, but the five-year deal Nani signed with Man Utd back in September looks to have meant that Man Utd are unwilling to be flexible in terms of their asking price, which is currently putting off the seven-time European champions from making a formal offer.
Serie A champions Juventus also have Nani on their radar, but are unlikely to make a bid, leaving Milan without any real competition. That will now allow them to wait until the end of transfer window to see if Nani will be allowed to leave for a lower price, with new United boss Louis van Gaal expected to declare the player surplus to requirements.
