The agent of Milan striker Mario Balotelli has revealed that he has not held talks with the club or FA Cup winners Arsenal over his client’s future, Sky
Balotelli has been persistently linked with a move to the Gunners this summer, with their manager Arsene Wenger looking for a new striker as he aims to add more depth to his squad, while reports have suggested that the 23-year-old’s departure from the San Siro could be imminent after they failed to qualify for either the Champions League or the Europa League.
Milan have suggested that they may be open to selling Balotelli, who has scored 30 goals in 54 outings since joining the club from Manchester City in January 2013. The front-man is rumoured to be wanting to leave the club, but agent Mino Raiola has insisted he has had no contact with either party.
He said: “Maybe it was a mistake to bring Mario back to Italy. For him it is essential to go where he is loved, and at AC Milan some people love him and some do not.
“(Milan managing director) Barbara Berlusconi is right to say that no-one is irreplaceable, but so far the club have always told me that Balotelli is not for sale. If they do not want to keep him, they have to call me and I’m ready to meet and discuss things with them. I did not go to Brazil for any talks and I have never met Wenger.”
