West Ham United are exploring the possibility of bringing Manchester United wingers Ashley Young and Wilfried Zaha to the Boleyn Ground on loan, the Metro
Manager Sam Allardyce is keen on signing either or both of them, and will make a move should new United boss Louis van Gaal decide to make them available, with both having struggled to make meaningful impacts at Old Trafford.
After being signed from Aston Villa in the summer of 2011, Young began his Man Utd career in scintillating form, but has been unable to maintain that level of performance and has fallen well down the pecking order, having been reduced to just 17 starts in all competitions last season.
Zaha was Sir Alex Ferguson’s final signing as manager at Old Trafford, but only arrived at the club once the legendary Scot had been replaced by compatriot David Moyes. Under Moyes, Zaha made just four appearances and was eventually loaned out to Cardiff City.
Allardyce has been busy in the transfer market already this summer, signing five players in total, and is keen to add a few more as he aims to improve on last season’s 13th-place finish.
