Italian club Juventus are preparing a swoop for out of favour Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski, according to the Telegraph.
Juventus are keen to take the forward to Italy in what would be a season long loan with a permanent view to buying the player – but Arsenal would prefer a permanent sale straight away.
The German signed for the Gunners in an £11m deal back in 2012 from German club Cologne and has managed 69 appearances – but has found himself somewhat of a fringe player in recent times, despite netting 29 goals.
The purchase of Alexis Sanchez further adds uncertainty to his position in the Arsenal squad and it is thought Arsene Wenger is prepared to let him leave this summer.
However, Podolski’s wages could prove a stumbling block to any potential move away as he earns around a steep £100,000 a week at the Emirates.
German club Wolfsburg have also been credited with an interest while it is said Turkish side Galatasaray are monitoring the situation.
