Spanish full back Antonia Luna has been sent out on loan by a Aston Villa for a season with Hellas Verona, according to BBC
The 23-year-old left sided defender found himself out of favour at Villa Park towards the end of last season, and will now attempt to get his career back on track with a season in Serie A.
Luna began his career with Sevilla, for who he made 29 appearances in all competitions before joining Villa last summer for a reported £2 million. After scoring in his first match for Villa, a 3-1 away win at Arsenal, he became a regular member of the team during the first half of the season.
However, Luna fell out of favour and his late substitute appearance in a 2-2 draw at Liverpool on 18th January proved to be his last of the season. Ultimately he made just 18 appearances in all competitions.
Luna, who has been capped by Spain up to under-20s level, has two years remaining on his Villa contract, but will spend this season with Verona, who finished tenth in their first season back in Serie A last term after 11 years in the lower leagues.
