Stoke City are reported to be again considering a move for Dynamo Kyiv forward Andriy Yarmolenko, reports The
The Potters had been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old earlier in the summer but their interest switched to Liverpool’s Oussama Assaidi. However, the protracted negotiations for the Moroccan have left Stoke frustrated, leading them to turn their attentions back to the Ukrainian international star.
Yarmolenko is rated as worth in excess of £8 million, but it’s his wage demands, thought to be at least £75,000 a week, which may put him out of Stoke’s price range.
Yamolenko was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, but his Ukraine parents moved the family back to their native country when he was a child. He made his debut for Dynamo Kyiv in 2008, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 away win at Vorskla Poltava. Yarmolenko has since gone on to make 215 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 71 goals.
He also has accumulated 40 senior caps for the Ukraine national team, scoring 15 goals.
