Gabriel Agbonlahor is expected to sign a new contract with Aston Villa, according to the
Agbonlahor has been talks over a new four-year deal and the parties are said to be near agreement on terms for the 27-year-old, a product of the Villa youth set-up. Agbonlahor, a three-time England international, has spent almost the entirety of his career at Villa Park, save for brief loan spells at Watford and Sheffield Wednesday in 2005.
It’s expected that the contract will be signed in the next few days, tying down Agbonlahor to the club until 2018. Making his Villa debut in the 2005-06 season, Agbonlahor has gone on to score 79 goals for the club in 320 games.
New England international Delph, Netherlands regular Vlaar and teenage prospect Jack Grealish – said to be a target of Chelsea – have all been offered contracts as well, the Mail adds, with Delph and Vlaar expected to put pen-to-paper shortly.
