Arsenal have been handed a fresh injury concern after Aaron Ramsey limped out of Wales’ 2-1 win over Andorra last night, Sky
The 23-year-old was a forced substitution during the 89th minute of the game after suffering a knock to his ankle which resulted in him twisting it, and will be assessed by the club’s staff ahead of their crunch clash with Manchester City this Saturday.
Ramsey has started the season in great form, picking up from where he left off from the last campaign, netting two goals in three games while playing a key role for his club.
He played a pivotal part in yesterday’s win as two Gareth Bale goals handed Wales three valuable points and spared the country’s blushes as they struggled against the minnows of Andorra.
Arsene Wenger will be hoping the knock doesn’t prove serious – with Ramsey being sorely missed for a large chunk of last season that saw the club’s title challenge fall away.
If Ramsey is ruled out of this weekend’s crucial game he will face a race against the clock to be fit for another important game for his club, as they face Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League Group D opener next Tuesday.
