Kolo Toure has said the Mario Balotelli signed by Liverpool is more mature than the Manchester City player remembered by observers of the Premier League, according to ESPN.
“At City, he was young. And when you are young, you make some mistakes. Everyone does,” the veteran added. “He had a hard childhood but now he’s more mature. He knows what he’s doing. He knows he needs to work hard. For me he’s always been a good boy but now I think he’s more mature, more intelligent.”
Balotelli moved to Liverpool from Milan over the summer, making a £16m return to English football after spending two-and-a-half years at the Etihad Stadium. He scored 30 goals in 80 games for City, winning the FA Cup and the Premier League, before netting another 30 times in 54 appearances for Milan.
