Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is to hold talks with winger Adnan Januzaj after the 19-year-old expressed concerns over his role at the club, according to the Daily
Since arriving at the club in July, van Gaal has made major changes, implementing a new 3-5-2 formation and overseeing a massive summer of spending. Angel Di Maria, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind have all come in, while Radamel Falcao has arrived on loan for the season.
A number of senior players have also been allowed to leave, either on loan or in a permanent capacity, and Januzaj has reportedly expressed concern that he may not be a significant part of van Gaal’s plans, particularly as he has failed to start any of Man Utd’s opening three Premier League matches.
However, van Gaal is expected to reassure the Belgian that he will have a role to play at Old Trafford this season despite the signing of Di Maria. The duo are expected to hold the talks once Januzaj returns from international duty, and van Gaal is keen to keep him at Man Utd for the long-term future.
