Wenger praises Ozil and Welbeck after Arsenal win

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was pleased the response from his side after their recent poor form as they won 3-0 away to in-form Aston Villa on Saturday, reports the Guardian.

The victory ends a run of successive Premier League draws, while providing the perfect comeback for the Gunners after their performance in the 2-0 Champions League loss to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, which was heavily criticised.

Mesut Ozil and new signing Danny Welbeck had been singled out by some, and they combined for the first two goals at Villa Park. First, Ozil finished coolly following Welbeck’s pass, before the German crossed for the former Manchester United striker to fire home just seconds later.
