Arsenal in bid for want-away Barcelona forward Pedro

According to the Daily Express, Arsenal are on red alert for Barcelona forward Pedro, after the Spaniard recently handed in a transfer request.

Pedro, 27, has played only 454 minutes of La Liga football with the Catalan giants this season, and is reportedly unhappy with the lack of playing time being made available to him. With Arsenal having signed his former teammate in Alexis Sanchez this summer, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is considering re-acquainting the two players again.

The Spanish international has scored just one goal in all competitions this season, and has the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Andres Iniesta, Neymar and Munir all keeping him out of the side.

A product of the Barcelona academy, Pedro has been a mainstay in the side since turning professional in 2008. He’s made more than 270 appearances, winning four league titles, two Champions Leagues, four domestic cups, and three minor European honours.
