There are some suggestions that a deal between the two clubs has already been reached, with Khedira having fallen a long way down the pecking order at Real Madrid since Carlo Ancelotti became the manager in the summer of 2013. His contract is set to expire at the end of this season, meaning that he can negotiate a move elsewhere in January.
Khedira is thought to be worth £15m, and although personal terms are said to have been discussed, an agreement over a fee must still be reached. The two clubs have a positive relationship following Mesut Ozil’s move to the Gunners in August 2013.
