Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to miss the Gunners weekend meeting against relegation-threatened Burnley through injury, reports Sky
“There is a slight problem with Wilshere. I don’t think he’ll be available against Burnley. It’s very, very short term. He took a kick on his knee. I don’t know if Tuesday (Champions League clash against Anderlecht) will be too early or not. He’s not training at the moment,” said manager Arsene Wenger.
The England international missed Arsenal last Premier League game against Sunderland with a yellow card suspension, and his recent injury means he will be out of action this weekend, but is expected to return the following Saturday for their trip to face Swansea City.
His form had started to pick up for club and country, so his injury has come at an bad time. Wilshere will be hoping he can recover quickly, so he misses the minimum amount of games.
