Former Newcastle man Yohan Cabaye has voiced his frustration with his current bit-part role at Paris Saint Germain putting a host of Premier League clubs on alert for the January transfer window, the Daily
Cabaye only left England for PSG last January in a £19m move from Newcastle but has not been used excessively by Coach Laurent Blanc.
He only played 15 minutes last weekend and has had to settle for a place on the bench on a number of occasions already this season with the French side struggling to find any form.
Arsenal had a bid £10m for the French ace rejected last summer and could head a queue of clubs in January keen to take on the player’s services.
Cabaye said of his situation: “This doesn’t suit me. I’ve not spoken to Blanc about my situation.
“I am 28 years old and not just starting out. I won’t change my style now. The coach’s choices must be respected, but I won’t quit.”
Since his move at the beginning of the year Cabaye has played 24 times in total for the French champions, but just three times this season.
He was sent off in the game against Evian back in August and made a substitute appearance during the club’s emphatic 3-2 win over Barcelona in the Champions League last week.
