Ex-Man Utd manager David Moyes could be next Real Sociedad manager

According to ESPN, David Moyes could be appointed the new manager of La Liga side Real Sociedad.

Current head coach Jagoba Arrasate has been struggling with the club after being promoted from the youth team last year, with Sociedad having been knocked out of the Europe League to minnows FC Krasnodar, and picking up just one win in nine league games.

“It is true that we are working on finding other alternatives and possibilities. I have spoken about that with the coach (Jagoba Arrasate), who knows that already. A club in this situation looks at alternatives and possibilities in case things happen and situations get more difficult,” said Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay.

Former Tottenham boss Juande Ramos, and ex-West Brom head coach Pepe Mel are reportedly on the shortlist, but David Moyes is said to be the frontrunner for the job. The Scot did admit he was looking to get back into management and would consider a foreign role too.
